Extra-high-voltage (EHV) shunt reactors absorb excess reactive power to help control transmission voltage, reduce light-load overvoltages and support grid stability. PTT offers U.S.-assembled, gapped-core, oil-filled shunt reactors rated up to 150 MVAr, with voltages through 765 kV. Designs meet IEEE C57.21 and can be tailored to utility system requirements.
