Purpose: Stepping down and isolating power from medium/primary voltage to serve main switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs and IT loads in Tier III/IV data centers.

Ratings:13.8kV – 34.5kV medium-voltage input; 480 V/400 V low-voltage output; ~ 500 kVA – 20 MVA typical

  • Utility MV input transformers – e.g., stepping down 13.8 kV/34.5 kV to 480 V feed for main data-center switchgear.
  • UPS isolation transformers – providing isolation, harmonic mitigation, K-rated for non-linear loads (servers, HVAC, power electronics).
  • PDU / server-rack distribution – stepping 480 V to 208/120 V (or equivalent) for racks, or isolation at PDU level.
